Bottomline

Work is full of aggravations big and small

But at the end of the day I try to recall

The core essence of what I do, the bottomline

Keeping that in mind, my priorities I align

Inconsequential grievances then melt away

The bottomline becomes the highlight of my day

Providing motivation to do what I do

In the midst of distractions, I try to remain true

To that underlying purpose, that bottomline

Something that the universe has for me designed..

  1. Oooo. And what is that bottom line, then? I have a feeling it’s deeper than just taking care of patients—that patient care is simply one (though likely big) manifestation of it? Soo grounding and inspiring to connect with and anchor to that bottom line, amIright? 😄

    1. Patient care is a big manifestation but the bottomline is having the privilege (and responsibility) to take care of human beings at their most vulnerable…paperwork, insurance struggles, prior auths etc. are just meaningless chaff..
