Quantity before Quality

Quality over quantity-this dictum was emphasized

Throughout my formative years, but I have realized

That I find it difficult to improve the quality of my work without

Increasing the quantity- therefore I go about

Increasing the numerical value of things that I do

By doing more of something, I improve its quality too

Quantity before quality is a rule I have applied

In spheres where others are not affected by my work, I have tried

To practice more, without conscious effort to enhance quality

With increasing quantity, quality improves organically

To produce the highest quality of work, people aspire

But to produce a large amount of work is my desire

Most of my work would be pretty mediocre, I know

But for all the effort, I believe I would have some outstanding examples to show..

Quantity and quality are inextricably intertwined

Ultimately by both I want my work to be defined
