The distinction between the past, present and future is nothing but a stubbornly persistent illusion.
-Albert Einstein
The more things change
The more they get
Close to the old in their range..
Maybe it’s true
That the past
Holds the clue
To the unknown, vast
Future; unseen
Except in imagination,
In promising dreams
Hoping for translation
Into life, real
Hoping future would
Bring a better deal
Making life good.
Hopeful always
Life’s bounties at present
Would never part ways
But all that’s unpleasant
Would disappear
Would be erased
In the future, near
By better things replaced.
But reality is such
That future mirrors
The past as much
As it differs.
We lay the foundation
Each day, for the future..
For our dreams’ realization
It’s the present we should nurture!
Almost like that saying, “The more things change; the more they remain the same.”
