Just understand the concepts, there is no need to memorize-
People often say, but I beg to differ, though I realize
That the need to remember mundane details has disappeared
You can instantly look up facts and figures weird
But in my defense here is what I have to say-
Without memorizing, concepts do not in your working memory stay
Each time you have to work extra to retrieve the information
That would be at your fingertips if you went through the trouble of memorization

There is a merit to learning tables of multiplication
The rules of grammar and punctuation
The fundamental equations that scientific principles illustrate
Some famous lines from literature penned by writers great
There are many examples of things that one could memorize
And take the naysayers by surprise
