
I have been ruminating over an unpleasant situation late into the night
When I stumble upon this piece of advice that feels just right-
The greatest skill you can develop is the ability to reset fast
Let grudges, anger, guilt and regret not last..

Such apt advice for me in my current state
I would not toss and turn in bed if I did not fixate
On what went wrong many hours ago
I must reset my thoughts, I must let go
So that I can find some peace of mind
And leave whatever happened in the past behind

When I dwell on unpleasant incidents I let the past dictate
Both my present and my future- I must learn to separate
Myself from whatever has happened before
Learn and move on, not worry about it anymore
